For what it’s worth I also had to return two Leica M-A cameras about 3 months ago. One had a bottom plate that didn’t fit the body (loose), and the other had a sticky shutter (felt like there was sand in the shutter button). They were both in the 4xxxxx serial number range, but unfortunately I didn’t think to write down the exact numbers)

Pour ce que ça vaut, j'ai également dû retourner deux appareils photo Leica M-A il y a environ 3 mois. L'un avait une plaque inférieure qui ne s'adaptait pas au corps (desserrée) et l'autre avait un obturateur collant (on avait l'impression qu'il y avait du sable dans le déclencheur). Ils étaient tous les deux dans la plage de numéros de série 4xxxxx, mais malheureusement je n'ai pas pensé à écrire les numéros exacts)
